College of the Rockies women's volleyball program is pleased to announce the singing of Hannah Gray, a 5 ft 10 Outside Hitter from Kelowna, British Columbia.

"I chose College of the Rockies because of the great team culture that has been developing with coach Bryan," Gray said. "I'm excited to have his high level of coaching expertise and to be challenged by the strong group of teammates that I will be joining. COTR has the academic program that I've been dreaming of and I can't wait to get started next season."

Currently a grade 12 student at Mount Boucherie Secondary, Gray will play her final season of club volleyball with the UBCO Jr Heat this year. She recently won a silver medal at the 2022 AAAA high school senior girls volleyball provincials. Gray also was a m ember of the Team BC Zone 2 program as an underage player where she also won a silver medal.

While playing with the Avs, Gray will be enrolling in the Pre-Education program at the College.

"Hannah attended our High-Performance Camp in August of 2022 and I was extremely impressed with everything she brought to the court," said coach Bryan Fraser. "She is a great teammate and very competitive. She really values a strong team connection which is something we're always working towards with the Avalanche. Technically, she is really sound and I'm looking forward to working with her to take her game to the next level. Hannah has a great volleyball IQ and I'm sure will adapt to post secondary level quickly. Academically she is stellar and will be joining a team full of other like-minded student-athletes."
