College of the Rockies Avalanche Sign Saskatchewan Outside Hitter

College of the Rockies' Avalanche women's volleyball program signed Davidson, Saskatchewan Outside Hitter, Tylar Oliver, for the 2020-21 season.

Oliver, a grade 12 student at Bethlehem High School was named Star of the Year and playoff MVP in 2018/19. She was a Team Saskatchewan athlete for two years and as a player for the Huskies Volleyball Club, she was twice named Leader of the Pack.

"We are very pleased to have Tylar join our program next season," said coach Bryan Fraser. "I have been aware of her for the past few years and have been able to see her develop into one of the top outsides in Saskatchewan. I think she has huge potential and will fit into the team really well next year."

While at College of the Rockies, Tylar plans to enroll in the Kinesiology program.

"I chose College of the Rockies because I know Bryan is such a great coach and I am so excited to develop through his coaching," Oliver said. "The College is so welcoming and friendly that it made my decision of where to start my post-secondary education easy. I felt like I was already part of a community and a team with such great people helping me along the way".

College of the Rockies Avalanche volleyball programs will resume play on January 9th against the Douglas College Royals.
