College of the Rockies Avalanche sign AAAA Provincial MVP

College of the Rockies women's Avalanche are pleased to announce they have signed Kelowna native, Sarah Hall, for the 2019/20 season.

Hall currently attends Kelowna Secondary School and is part of the Jr. Heat Volleyball Club. She is able to play multiple positions, including setter, opposite hitter, and outside hitter.

In 2016, Hall was selected to be on the Zone 5 Regional team for the 2016 Summer Games. She has been captain on many school and club teams and has won two national silver medals, one provincial beach bronze medal, and a provincial high school gold medal.

As captain of her senior team, Hall led her team to capture the AAAA provincial gold medal. She was also awarded the Most Valuable Player award for the tournament. Prior to her club season, Hall received an honourable mention on the BC Top Girls Volleyball Talent list for 2018.

"Sarah Hall was someone that was on our recruiting radar back in early October 2018," said women's Avalanche coach, John Swanson. "Watching her compete at the AAAA provincials, we saw that she was far beyond her years in poise, skill, and competitive nature. She will be a tremendous addition to our volleyball program, not only for her versatility, but for her calm demeanor, effortless execution, and fierce determination to compete hard."

While attending College of the Rockies, Hall will be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.

"I'm thrilled to become a member of College of the Rockies' women's volleyball team and excited to experience the school's beautiful campus and small-sized classes," Hall said.
