Abigail Taggart of South Surrey has committed to the College of the Rockies Avalanche for the 2018/19 season. Abigail started playing volleyball in elementary school and has loved the sport ever since. She has played for the Infinity Volleyball club for five years, in which four of those years she served as captain. When she isn't playing volleyball, she spends her time as an assistant coach for a U13 team.
"Im excited to attend COTR as it is a smaller school with a close-knit family feel between the volleyball programs. I'm hoping to elevate my playing level, create strong relationships with my teammates, and experience lfe in a smaller community and college".
Head Coach John Swanson added "We are very excited to have Abigail Taggart attend COTR and become part of our 2018-19 roster. Abby has developed her game through strong volleyball programs at Earl Marriott Secondary and Infinity Volleyball Club and i was very impressed with Abby's interest and desire to want to elevate her game to the next level. Abby's academic success, athletic skill set and impressive work ethis will serve her well as she transitions in to Collegiate life".
