Avalanche sign Gould

Presley Gould, a 6'0" middle from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has committed to the College of the Rockies for the 2017/18 season. Presley is in her last year at St. Joseph's High School. Presley helped lead her team to a bronze medal at the Saskatchewan High School Volleyball Provincials in the 5A division.

Presley has been a part of the Jr. Women's Huskie Volleyball Club for the last 4 years. She helped in  leading her team to top 5 finishes throughout the Sask Cup series this past club season with her team finishing 1st at Sask Cup 3. At the Saskatchewan club Volleyball Provincials the club finished 6th in the top division.  Presley mentioned "she learnt a lot while playing for the Huskie Volleyball club and enjoyed her time with her teammates which became a second family to her" She's excited to meet her new teammates and help contribute to the team's success and start a new chapter with her new Avalanche family.

In 2015 Presley was a part of the U16 Team Saskatchewan team that competed at the National Team Challenge Cup at the Richmond Oval.

Presley will be taking University studies in hopes of taking the nursing program in the 2018 school year. Presley mentioned "I am really looking forward to studying and playing volleyball in such a beautiful part of Canada as I enjoy travelling, the outdoors, and meeting new people".

John Swanson mentioned "Presley will be one of four middle blockers we will have on our 2017-18 team. She will bring great skill and enthusiasm to our team and be given every opportunity to compete at the highest level. Presley will be another great addition to our team".
