Avalanche Athletics is proud to announce that Janine Harach a 5'9" setter from Cranbrook BC,  has committed to the College of the Rockies for the 2017-18 season.

Janine is in her final year at Mount Baker Secondary School and has been playing volleyball since grade 6.   Volleyball has provide Janine with many opportunities including participating in the Volleyball Canada Centre of Excellence (VCCE) program for 4 years and attending the Baden Cup.

Janine has also been a part of the East Kootenay volleyball club since U14. Janine is "very excited to continue my volleyball career at College of the Rockies. I am happy that I get to take the sport that I love to the collegiate level" Janine also mentioned  "COTR is a good place for me because I will be able to stay home, and my family is excited to be able to come watch and support me". Janine also mentioned "I have heard and seen many good things about the Avalanche volleyball program, and can't wait to be a part of it.

Janine is looking to take business, with a psychology minor.
