Brooke Lightburn, a 5'6" libero from Jaffray, BC has committed to the College of the Rockies for the 2017-18 season.  Brooke has been playing club volleyball with EKVC (East Kootenay Volleyball Club) since she was in U14 and has also played in the 2013 Baden Cup, 2014 Summer Games (indoor volleyball), 2015 National Team Challenge Cup (as a member of Team BC) and the 2016 Beach Volleyball Summer Games.  Brooke's biggest volleyball accomplishment in her playing career so far is being a member of Team BC for the past 2 years.  Her first year on Team BC she was the first female in 5 years to make Team BC from the East Kootenay's.

Brooke is "excited to start her first year of post secondary volleyball at College of the Rockies.  I have loved the game of volleyball since I was in elementary school and still do after all of this time." Brooke chose College of the Rockies because "it fulfills what she needs for eduation and it is close to home."

Brooke will be looking to take the Business program at the College.
