This upcoming season marks Coach Cisco Farrero’s 7th as Head Coach of the College of the Rockies Men’s volleyball program.
Over his 6 seasons at the helm of the Avalanche Cisco’s regular season record is 44-63 with a playoff record of 3-5. Cisco has led the Avalanche Men’s program to two consecutive PACWEST Bronze Medals (2023/22 & 2022/23).
Prior to College of the Rockies Cisco was the Head Coach of the Men’s Volleyball program at Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland from 2015-2017. He was also an assistant coach with the Memorial women’s volleyball team for the 2014-15 season. Coach Farrero started his coaching career with the Lakeland College Rustlers women’s team in Lloydminster, Alberta as an assistant coach from 2008-2014, where in 2013 the Rustlers won ACAC and CCAA silver medals.
Cisco is originally from Meacham, Saskatchewan and played club baseball and volleyball as a youth. He was a member of Team Sask volleyball and attended the University of Saskatchewan. In the off-season Cisco is a professional fishing guide.
Cisco is proud to lead the COTR MVB program and looks forward to the challenges this upcoming season brings.
