College of the Rockies Avalanche sign Calgary Libero

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Jaxson Marsden, a 6 ft. libero from Calgary, AB. for the 2023/24 season.

Marsden attends high school at William Aberhart High and played club volleyball with the Canada West Volleyball Club.

"I think Jaxson is a great fit for our program at COTR; he comes from a volleyball family, he's got a great feel for the game and for the libero position," said Cisco Farrero, men's Avalanche coach. " Jaxson plays for one of the preeminent high school programs in the country and is a solid defender and receiver. I'm excited that Jaxson's academic plan lines up with COTR programming and I look forward to having him in our gym in the fall"

Marsden plans to enroll in the College's University Studies program.

" I chose college of the Rockies because of their great coaching staff, amazingly welcoming players, and it just checked all of the right boxes for me. It's a great campus with amazing people." he said.

The College of the Rockies' men's volleyball team head into the Christmas break with a 9-1 record, tied for first in the PACWEST, and ranked fourth nationally.
