College of the Rockies Avalanche sign Vernon Outside Hitter

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Jace Wilson, a 6 ft. 2.5 in. outside hitter from Vernon, B.C. for the 2023/24 season.

Wilson attends high school at Kalamalka Secondary and plays club volleyball with Sky Volleyball Club.

"I'm really excited about Jace joining our team," said Cisco Farrero, men's Avalanche coach. "College of the Rockies is the ideal academic fit for him as the programs available align with his goals. On the court, Jace is a physical outside attacker with a great arm, capable of playing both outside hitter and opposite positions. He comes from a strong club program in Vernon and his work ethic and all-around skillset will be a pleasure to add to our gym in the fall."

Wilson plans to enroll in the College's Electrical program before moving on to a Business Administration – General Management diploma.

"I chose the College because it checks off all the boxes when it comes to a post-secondary volleyball career," Wilson said. "It has the programs I am looking for, a nice campus, is not too far from home, and has a high-level group of athletes who want to compete as much as I do."

The College of the Rockies' men's volleyball team head into the Christmas break with a 9-1 record, tied for first in the PACWEST, and ranked fourth nationally.
