College of the Rockies Avalanche sign ‘high-flyer’ for 2022-23 season

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Evan Walling, a 6 ft. 2 in. outside hitter from Athabasca, Alberta for the 2022/23 season.

Walling attended high school at Edwin Parr Composite and played club volleyball with the St Albert Sturgeon (SAS) volleyball association.

"I'm really excited to add Evan to our program," said Cisco Farrero, men's Avalanche coach. "He's going to bring a special level of athleticism to our gym. He's a high-flyer and is just starting to scratch the surface of how good he's going to be."

As a student athlete, Walling will enroll in University Arts and Sciences courses.

"My passion is volleyball," Walling said. "When I was scouted by Cisco and offered a position on the men's volleyball team, I made the decision to attend College of the Rockies to prepare for my career while continuing to pursue my love of volleyball. I have always loved the mountains. It's all just a perfect fit for me."

PACWEST competition will resume for the 2022/23 season in October.
