College of the Rockies sign outside hitter out of Calgary for 2022-23 season

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Jaden Hood, a 6 ft. 5 in. outside hitter (right-side) from Calgary, Alberta for the 2022/23 season.

Hood is recently graduated from Notre Dame High School in Calgary and plays with the Elite West Volleyball Club.

In addition to contributing to the Avalanche's season, Hood will be studying Engineering at the College.

"I chose College of the Rockies because I am excited to play in the PACWEST league and improve my skills," Hood said. "The College's team is a great group of guys with a team dynamic that I felt fit best for me."

Avalanche men's coach Cisco Farrero is looking forward to the skills Hood will bring to the team.

"I'm really excited to add Jaden to our program," he said. "He's played for a strong club program, he's got a very high volleyball IQ, and as a 6 ft. 5in lefty opposite, he brings a well-rounded offensive game. He's an exceptionally strong student and I look forward to seeing his on-court growth in the upcoming years."

PACWEST competition will resume for the 2022/23 season in October.
