College of the Rockies sign versatile player for 2022-23 season

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Noah McFadzen, a 6 ft. libero from Cranbrook for the 2022/23 season.

McFadzen is currently a student at Mount Baker Secondary and plays with the East Kootenay Volleyball Club.

"I chose to sign with College of the Rockies because I love the guys who make up the team and the College offers the schooling I need to progress to where I want," McFadzen said.

McFadzen will begin studies at the College in September 2022, studying University Sciences. Avalanche men's coach Cisco Farrero is looking forward to having him join the team.

"Noah is a great pickup for our program," he said. "He's versatile on the court, with the ability to help at both libero and outside hitter. He's also a high-quality character young man who excels in both the classroom and the weight room. I'm looking forward to seeing how good he can get in our training environment."

PACWEST competition resumed for the 2021/22 season after seeing the 2020/21 season halted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Some games are being rescheduled due to travel issues in some regions of the province. Proof of vaccination will be required to attend all games.
