College of the Rockies sign diverse talent out of Calgary

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Logan Williams, a 6 ft. 1 in. outside hitter/libero from Calgary, Alberta for the 2021/22 season.

Williams, a current grade 12 student who plays with the Canada West Volleyball Club has seen success on both beach and indoor volleyball courts. He was a member of the Dr. E.P. Scarlett High School Junior Varsity City Champion team in 2018 and a part of Team Alberta Beach in 2019.

"I chose College of the Rockies because I liked what the school had to offer and the coaching philosophy of the team," Williams said. "I'm really looking forward to developing both as an individual and as a player as part of the Avalanche community."

Williams will be enrolling in the College's Bachelor of Business Administration: Sustainable Business Practices (BBA) program.

"I'm looking forward to adding Logan to our gym," said men's coach Cisco Farrero. "He's got a strong overall skillset, built both on the beach courts and indoors. He's ultra-competitive with a live arm and is very physically strong for a high school athlete. Our BBA program matches Logan's academic goals and he will be a strong contributor to our program's goals moving forward."

All PACWEST intercollegiate competition has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. College of the Rockies' Avalanche players continue to train in anticipation of the return of competitive action.
