College of the Rockies Avalanche sign Saskatchewan setter

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Mason Hoffman, a six ft. three in. setter from Regina, Saskatchewan. He is the third member of the 2019 recruiting class for the men's volleyball team.

Hoffman currently attends Dr. Martin Leboldus High School and plays for the Regina Volleyball Club. He was recently a member of the Saskatchewan Volleyball under-17 team at the Canada Cup in 2018.

"I'm really excited to add Mason to our program," said coach Cisco Ferrero. "He is an accomplished setter with a lot of experience at the high school, club, and provincial levels. He's been very well coached, is technically sound, and has great self-awareness and confidence in his own skill set. Mason meshed very well with our current athletes on his visit to Cranbrook and I think he'll fit our system well."

While at College of the Rockies, Hoffman is looking at enrolling in the Business Management program with a focus on Accounting.

College of the Rockies Avalanche volleyball teams will take on the Capilano Blues at home on January 25 and 26. They will host the 2019 PACWEST Provincial Championships February 21 to 23.
