College of the Rockies Avalanche Add Calgary Recruit to Roster

College of the Rockies men's Avalanche have signed Cooper Patterson, a six foot five inch outside hitter from Calgary, Alberta. He is the sixth member of the 2019 recruiting class for the men's volleyball team.

Patterson graduated from Centennial High School in 2018 and was a member of the Elite West volleyball club.

"Cooper is an athlete I'm excited to add to our program," said coach Cisco Ferrero. "He brings an exceptional combination of skill and size to the outside hitter position. He combines his presence at net with top-end defense and serve receive skills. He has a very strong volleyball I.Q. and will help our program in both the short and long-term. I'm excited to see him grow into an impact PACWEST player."

Though his program of study is currently undecided, Patterson and his family are impressed with how College of the Rockies fits his academic goals.
